FIELD: aeronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hypersonic aircraft, namely to high-speed ramjet engines. Supersonic ramjet engine with pulsating combustion contains a supersonic air intake, an insulator, a supersonic combustion chamber consisting of a section of constant cross-section and several sections of a variable cross-section located behind it, a supersonic nozzle and several fuel supply belts. First fuel supply belt is located at the beginning of the section of a constant cross-section, the next ones are at the sections of a variable cross-section of the combustion chamber. Generator of heat and gas dynamic pulses of the pulsating combustion is installed at the end of the section of a constant cross-section, and it is made in the form of a small-sized combustion chamber with autonomous pulsating combustion, the parameters of which ensure predetonational combustion at this section of the combustion chamber.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the efficiency of the engine.
