SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine and is intended for predicting postpartum complications in cows of black and motley breed. Compare the morphological, biochemical and immunological parameters of the blood of black-mottled cows for a month before parturition with the developed complex of hematological parameters: hemoglobin 92.24±0.24 g/l, erythrocytes 4.71±0.21 mln/mm³, white blood cells 7.05±0.32 thousand/mm, thrombocytes 219.82±18.5 thousand/mm³, calcium 2.10±0.03 mmol/L, phosphorus 1.10±0.08 mmol/l, alkaline reserve 43.98±1.66 % CO₂, carotene 0.41±0.05 mg%, sugar 35.7±2.37 mg%, total protein 61.23±1.12 g/l, albumins 37.48±0.46 %, globulins 64.52±0.39 %, including beta-globulins 23.68±1.60 %, immunoglobulins: A 117.86±5.33 mg/dl, M 95.08±5.13 mg/dl, G 996.09±16.32 mg/dl; and if obtained results of blood test are lower or equal to the indices of the developed hematological complex, then after birth the risk of postpartum complications increases.

EFFECT: method allows to assess the preparedness of animals for parturition and to predict manifestation of postpartum complications in animals one month before parturition.
