SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, particularly to methods for prediction of postnatal pathology in cows. Method for prediction of postpartum diseases in cows involves taking blood in cows in interlactation period, with blood taken 15 days before calving and determining the content of positive neutrophils in the stimulated NBT test and the placental alkaline phosphatase concentration with subsequent calculation of the coefficient, determined by ratio of positive neutrophils:concentration of placental alkaline phosphatase, and if its value is more than 2, predicting retention of foetal membranes, and if less than 1, developing endometrium is predicted.

EFFECT: invention enables high-accuracy prediction of postnatal complications using a coefficient calculated by the ratio of two predictors of postnatal pathology in cows.
