SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a water soluble carrageenan-histochrome complex with a 5:1 weight ratio of said components, having prolonged gastroprotective, cardioprotective and antioxidant effects. To obtain said complex, a calculated amount of stock alcohol solution of histochrome is added to an aqueous solution of carrageenan, the resulting solution is stirred at a temperature of 37 °C for 60 min.

EFFECT: technical result provided by the invention is that the claimed complex prevents the oxidation of histochrome by atmospheric oxygen, preserves its antioxidant, cardioprotective properties and exhibits prolonged gastroprotective action, several times higher than the action of histochrome and carrageenan, as well as the standard phosphalugel preparation.
