SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical coin acceptors used in vending machines, gaming machines, etc. Mechanical coin acceptor for accepting several coins, in the case of which there is: a cage consisting of a receptacle for receiving coins and a rotation mechanism; pusher, designed to compress coins, their control, and is a locking mechanism; secretion, designed to control the diameter of each coin, while the secretion contains a set of spacers and spring-loaded pushers, each of which rests on each coin and is removed inside when passing coins over them; at least one coin insert replacing is used in the coin acceptor, and to ensure rotation, the rotation mechanism and the plane of the follower must coincide, and if the thickness of the coin set exceeds a predetermined thickness of the coin set, then, when entering the slot of the lid, the first coin of the coin set prevents rotation of the mechanism.

EFFECT: technical task and, accordingly, the technical result is the high speed of reconfiguration of the coin acceptor to receive from one to several coins and vice versa, from several to one coin; ensuring of compatibility with various vending machines, without changing body parts; as well as an increase in the degree of protection against receiving of counterfeit coins made of from other materials and similar in size to the original coins.
