FIELD: active protection devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air defense systems and can be used to protect against ballistic missiles and other aerial targets. Method of the air target destroying is in transportation of the countermeasure to the calculated point, correcting the countermeasure carrier path and exploding the countermeasure in a sequence determined by the program for a particular target. As a countermeasure, a group of self-guided missiles is used. Interaction of the means used is provided by weapons control system, including means for detecting and tracking air targets, means of interaction with the countermeasure carriers in the part of actions that correct the movement path, means of the countermeasure controlling in part of the actions that correct the time and sequence of the explosive devices switching on.
EFFECT: enabling higher probability of air target destruction.
