FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, specifically to odour control material in the form of extruded films, fibres, filaments or fibrous web, which consists of a thermoplastic, water-soluble matrix, comprising a water-insoluble granular odour control agent, such as activated carbon, wherein the carrier matrix is dissolved upon contact with an aqueous solution, such as urine; as well as to a method for producing said material and to an absorbent article, such as a diaper, a sanitary napkin or absorbent article containing the proposed odour control material.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides effective reduction of unpleasant odour and production of material which is easy to process/handle.
