SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to immunology. Isolated antibody molecule is provided that is selective for binding human beta-amyloid 1-42 peptide (Aβ1-42), over human beta-amyloid 1-40 peptide (Aβ1-40). Also composition comprising antibody molecule, use of composition in treatment of Alzheimer's disease, to improve cognitive performance or slow down decline in cognitive ability in patient; method of reducing amyloidosis, treatment of Alzheimer's disease, improving cognitive performance or slowing down cognitive decline in patient suffering from Alzheimer's disease or Down's syndrome, and/or treatment of macular degeneration in individual; isolated nucleic acid, host cell, and method for producing antibody molecule.
EFFECT: present invention may be further applying in treatment of conditions associated with amyloidosis.
