FIELD: construction materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass-silica production and can be used in production of building materials. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that the method for preparation of glass-silica includes preparation of junks granules of fractions 0.8–1.25 mm and 1.25–3.15 mm at mass ratio of 3:2, mixing the resulting glass granulate, clay and quartz sand at a weight ratio of 3:1:1, pressing the blocks and sintering at 775 °C.
EFFECT: technical result of the proposed invention is a reduction in energy costs due to sintering at a lower temperature, as well as higher strength and reduction in the shrinkage of the material during baking.
