FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing glazed bricks, comprising preparing a glaze mass, its application as a layer on at least the facade part of the raw bricks and firing. Glaze mass having the following composition, pts. wt. %: zeolite, fractions 0.16 mm 36–54; NaOH 5–15; Na2B4O7 5–12; KOH 5–10; silica fume 1.2–3.2, superplasticizer C3 0.3–0.8, water 18–25, after mixing, they are applied to unfired bricks and they are fired at a temperature of 950–970 °C in furnaces heated with gas burning or electric heating elements.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify the production of bricks by reducing the glaze burning temperature to the lower limits of the firing temperature of bricks, and also provides high decorative properties of bricks; the glaze mass applied to a raw brick does not affect its drying process, providing a quality coating for both wet and dried raw bricks.
