FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to drill cone bits, namely to cutters. Bit of the drill bit contains ring rims with cylindrical carbide inserts. Central crown is made in cross-section in the form of a part of a circle with the center located on the cutter's axis. Center of this part of the circle is displaced from the axis of the insertion of the central ring in the direction of the top of the cutter by an amount equal to half the diameter of the insert. Point of intersection of the axis of the insert with the formed part of the circle is displaced from the middle of the length of this part of the circumference towards the periphery of the cutter.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the strength of the inserts.
