FIELD: drilling of soil or rock.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to drill cone bits, namely, to cutters. Bit of the drill bit contains ring rims with cylindrical carbide inserts. Central crown is made in cross-section in the form of a part of a circle with the center located on the cutter's axis. Center of this part of the circle is displaced from the axis of the central crown insert in the direction of the top of the cutter by more than half the diameter of the insert S amount, and point of intersection of the axis of the insert with the formed part of the circle is displaced from the middle of the length of this part of the circumference towards the periphery of the cutter by K amount. Condition is satisfied K=S or K>S. Carbide inserts are made with a wedge-shaped working part.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the strength of the inserts.
