FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device and method for providing pivotal motion between a tandem or crawler axle and a vehicle body. Vehicle of this type comprises at least one body part equipped with a tandem or crawler axle. At least one body part comprises a main body and an auxiliary body attached thereto with possibility of rotation about the longitudinal axis of the vehicle or around and substantially parallel to the axis thereof. Axle is substantially rigidly attached to the main body, and the body part is provided with at least one actuator for controlling the relative pivoting motion between the main body and the auxiliary body. At that, changes in the auxiliary body position and driving mode cause an actuator pulling or pushing motion, which controls the auxiliary housing pivoting motion to drive the auxiliary housing, in a substantially horizontal position.
EFFECT: damping of the vehicle swaying is achieved.
