SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machine building. Harvesting machine with automatic height adjustment means includes a bar, containing the first and second parts. First part of the rod is pivotally connected to the chassis. Second part of the rod is pivotally connected to the first part and carries a working implement. Harvesting machine also comprises a first driving device, connected to the first part of the rod, and a second drive device connected to the second part of the rod. One of the drive devices is made controllable for controlling the distance, measured transversely to the direction of movement of the agricultural machine. Other drive device is made controllable for vertical movement of the working tool between the operating position and the raised position in which the working tool is at a certain height above the ground.
EFFECT: harvesting machine includes means for automatically adjusting the position of one of the first and second drive devices to a predetermined control value, which provides an optimal lifting of the implement relative to the ground.
