FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine building, in particular to the organization of the cycle processes and systems for the preparation and supply of fuel and air to the combustion chamber of an air-jet engine as an oxidant by means of a shock wave generator. Pulsating detonation combustion engine with an inlet diffuser and a nozzle contains two combustion chambers. One of the combustion chambers works as a generator of detonation shock waves, whose impulses with the help of a detonation tube deliver air to the combustion chamber in which combustion of the fuel supplied into it occurs at a pressure close to the applied pulses of the shock wave generator, with further acceleration of the flow of total combustion products in the nozzle and the creation of engine thrust. When the shock wave generator is operating, the energy of the combustion products under high pressure at the end of cycle at the highest dead point is divided into two parts. One of the parts is fed into the detonation tube, and the second part is spent on compressing the newly supplied combustible mixture. In this case, two pistons with counter motion are operated, one of which is associated with gas storages of energy and controls the formation of impulses of shock waves, and the second, with a crank-and-rod mechanism and a flywheel, serves to compress a new portion of the fuel mixture.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the engine.
