SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion engineering, particularly to internal combustion engines (ICE) with detonation process. Invention consists in that engine uses hydrogen in a fuel mixture, which allows to apply pre-cooling of fuel mixture with liquid nitrogen, including liquid nitrogen in fuel mixture significantly increase degree of compression of fuel mixture with a decrease in operation of its compression, and achieving auto-ignition temperature by providing accurate compression top dead centre of piston by initiating auto-ignition of fuel mixture due to local heating, for example, by electric or laser spark. Transfer of piston movement to crankshaft is performed by a pneumatic damper with adjustable stiffness, consisting of two pneumatic cylinders.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in efficiency of detonation cycle of two stroke engine with hydrogen as fuel.
