SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fluorination process comprising alternating reaction stages and regeneration stages, in which the reaction stages comprise reacting a chlorinated compound with hydrogen fluoride in gas phase in the presence of a fluorination catalyst to produce a fluorinated compound, and the regeneration stages comprise contacting the fluorination catalyst with an oxidising agent-containing gas flow. Fluorination catalyst is chromium oxyfluoride, chromium oxides, chromium fluorides and mixtures thereof, and further comprises a cocatalyst selected from Co, Zn, Mn, Mg, Ni, or mixtures thereof, and wherein said cocatalyst is preferably present in an amount of about 1 to 10 % by weight of said fluorination catalyst. Chlorinated compound is selected from 2-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene, 1,1,1,2,3-pentachloropropane, 1,1,2,2,3-pentachloropropane, 2,3-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoropropane, 2,3,3,3-tetrachloro-1-propene and 1,1,2,3-tetrachloro-1-propenes, and the fluorinated compound is 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene.

EFFECT: higher conversion of the fluorination reaction using the regeneration stage (72,4 %).
