SUBSTANCE: furnace for burning solid fuel contains a solid fuel supply bunker, a combustion chamber with a loading window in the front, plunger metering feeder with a fuel supply piston and a fuel pipe for top loading of solid fuel into the combustion chamber, a grate with a fuel supporting surface, a cleaning mechanism for the fuel-supporting surface and a receiving hopper for non-volatile combustion products, the feed hopper is connected to the combustion chamber via a fuel pipe, inside which the plunger of the feeder-dispenser is arranged, which is designed with the possibility of longitudinal reciprocating movement and location in the positions, the first of which is characterized by an open input of the fuel pipe, the second position is characterized by a complete overlapping of the input of the fuel pipe when the working end of the piston is inside this pipe, in the third position, the working end of the piston protrudes from the fuel tube into the combustion chamber, the fuel delivery piston completely overlapping the flow section of the fuel pipe and the loading port. Combustion chamber is provided with upper air nozzles, and the apparatus further comprises a boost chamber adjacent to the combustion chamber and a mechanical air supercharger, the outlet of which is connected to the underside of the grate and the above-mentioned upper air nozzles. Mechanism for cleaning the fuel-supporting surface is located inside the charge chamber.

EFFECT: more complete cleaning of the furnace from non-volatile fuel combustion products, the possibility of accelerated entry of the device into emergency stop mode, compactness of the device.
