FIELD: means of protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ground-based means of protecting aircraft gas turbine engines. Method for controlling vortex currents on the surface of an aerodrome under the air intakes of aircraft (2) consists in placing means (3) of ground-based general service on gas platform (1). In this case, said means (3) are placed parallel to longitudinal axis of aircraft (2). In addition, said means (3) are positioned at the angles of the incident flow β = ±30°÷±60° and β = ±120°÷±150° with the velocities of the incoming flow, respectively, Vat = 3–6 m/s and Vat = 3–8 m/s. Also said means (3) are located at a distance from longitudinal axis of aircraft (2) on the lower edges of the air intakes to the central axis of ground maintenance facility (2) Rz = 8–14DEQ, where – equivalent diameter of the inlet to the air intake, m; A – height of air intake, m; B – width of air intake, m.
EFFECT: invention reduces effect of wind and reduces likelihood of foreign objects entering the air intakes.
