FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical protection of boiler equipment. Method of chemical protection of boiler equipment is that a reservoir with natural limestone consisting of calcium carbonate is inserted into boiler furnace, which, as a result of the action of high temperature, decomposes into calcium oxide, carbon dioxide and crystalline hydrates, which then with the exhaust gases along the whole path of the gas path, settling on the internal walls of the equipment of the boiler unit, form a glassy film, which in the future is a natural protection against any aggressive environment generated by the combustion of high-sulfur fuel oil.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce the influence of the aggressive chemical medium formed as a result of the combustion of high sulfur fuel oil on all elements of the boiler equipment.
