SUBSTANCE: method for cementing in a subterranean formation includes providing a set-delayed cement composition comprising water, pumice, hydrated lime, a dispersing agent and a set retarder, wherein the set retarder comprises a phosphonic acid derivative, and the dispersing agent is a polycarboxylic acid ester; foaming the set-delayed cement composition; activating the set-delayed cement composition; introducing the set-delayed cement composition into a subterranean formation; and allowing the set-delayed cement composition to set in the subterranean formation. Also described are additional methods, a foamed set-delayed cement composition and a cementing system.
