FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and can be used in electrical machines. In the method for protecting against the eccentricity of the rotor of an AC electric machine, the signal of the external magnetic field of an alternating current electric machine is measured with its subsequent conversion to a unipolar signal, remove from the unipolar signal a constant component equal to D, where D is a constant value from zero to the largest value of a unipolar signal, and the harmonic components are extracted from the resulting signal. Allocation of harmonic components is carried out with frequencies 2fc(ν-1/p) and 2fc(ν+1/p), where fc – frequency of the main harmonic network, p – number of pole pairs of the alternating current electric machine, ν takes values 0, 1, 2, … p, determine the value of the square root of the sum of the squares of the harmonic components; if this value exceeds the first threshold value of the eccentricity value of the alternating current electric machine, but it is less than the second threshold value of its eccentricity value, then a signal is generated about the presence of the eccentricity of the rotor, and if this value exceeds the second threshold value of the eccentricity value of the alternating current electric machine, a signal is generated to disconnect the electric machine from the network.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the accuracy of protection against the eccentricity of the rotor of an alternating current electric machine.
