FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in personal and emergency dosimeters to determine the dose of personnel in X-ray rooms, mobile radiation monitoring complexes, areas with an increased radiation background, tailing sites for spent radioactive materials and waste. Oxinitride of aluminium, activated with trivalent cerium ions with a concentration of 0.05-0.2 at. %, characterised by the chemical formula Al5O6N:Ce3+, is used as a working substance for thermoluminescent dosimetry.
EFFECT: increased light output of thermally stimulated luminescence in the range of cerium concentrations, allows to obtain dosimetry information operatively, to reduce time and energy consumption for its processing, to exclude complicated procedures for working substance preparation for dose loads measurements.
