FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for separating suspensions in the field of action of centrifugal forces and can be used in chemical, food, pulp and paper and other industries. Advantageously, the present invention is intended to isolate fine cellulose fibers from low concentration wastewaters. Sedimentation centrifuge includes a cylindrical cone rotor with windows for diverting the separated phases mounted inside the rotor with an annular gap auger consisting of a cylindrical conical drum with apertures for passage of the initial suspension and fixed turns on it, feeding the pipe installed coaxially to the drum. Holes for the passage of the initial suspension located on the cylindrical part of the drum are equipped with perforated chambers placed on its outer side and at a height not exceeding the height of the screw turns. Perforated chambers are filled with filler and are communicated through perforation with an annular gap. Filler is made in the form of 0.05–0.08 mm thick fibers, oriented along the radius of the rotor, with a specific amount of 450–500 pieces/cm2. Degree of separation increases 2.4–5 times.
EFFECT: increase in the degree of separation of low-concentration suspensions containing a highly dispersed solid phase.
