Method for performing Wi-Fi display service (WFD) in a WFD source comprises the steps of: displaying a first multimedia file in real-time on the WFD source, streaming a real-time output screen; receiving a second multimedia file playing request, if the second multimedia file is playable by the receiving WFD device, wherein the second multimedia file is streamed to the WFD receiving device without transcoding when the second multimedia file is played by the WFD receiving device, and the second multimedia file is streamed to the WFD receiving device by transcoding the second multimedia file, when the second multimedia file can not be directly played by the receiving WFD device.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the possibility of streaming a multimedia file without decoding and encoding, when it is playable in the WFD receiving device.
