SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to oncology and radiodiagnosis. Ultrasound examination of the retroperitoneal space is carried out with a convection sensor with a frequency of 3.5–5.0 MHz with an assessment of the left adrenal gland location according to the upper pole of the left kidney, spleen and aorta. Examination comprises two stages. At the first stage, the examination is carried out in a patient lying on the back and in a lateral decubitus position from the intercostal access along the left axillary line. Wherein the area located above the upper poles of the left kidney and spleen, medial to the aorta is estimated. In the absence of signs of neoplasm of the left adrenal gland, the second stage is carried out. At the second stage, the examination is carried out in a patient in a face-down position along the left scapular line from intercostal access. Wherein the area between the kidney and aorta at the front, medial to the upper pole of the left kidney is estimated. When a pathological structure is detected in these areas, a neoplasm of the left adrenal gland is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides improved quality of diagnosis and number of detected neoplasms at the stage of outpatient care.
