FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in electromechanical energy conversion systems, namely in asynchronous machines. In the method of forming a mechanical characteristic of an asynchronous machine with a phase rotor of the rotor area, adjacent to areas with the maximum change of the stator field, demagnetize, and the areas of the rotor, adjacent to areas with a minimum change in the stator field, are additionally magnetized by creation of additional poles.
EFFECT: technical result is the automatic formation of the optimum mechanical characteristics in all modes without the use of rheostats, chokes, reactors, switching equipment, and also any electronic devices.
