SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a plasma current interrupter and can be used, for example, in the creation of powerful pulse power supplies for high-current accelerators of charged particles, plasma diodes. Plasma current interrupter is a system of cylindrical internal potential and external potential electrodes separated by a bushing insulator, connected to power supplies with contactors, and connected to load 6, and three plasma injectors 4 located on an external potential grounded electrode forming three plasma-filled sections, two of them provide energy transfer from capacitor storage units of individual modules to inductive, and the third (common) generates a high-voltage pulse in the total load.

EFFECT: technical result is a reliable and rapid opening of the current, a reduction in the voltage preponderance on the total load, an increase in the efficiency of energy transfer to the load.
