FIELD: heavy-current pulse equipment, electrophysical plants generating high-energy electromagnetic pulses, X-ray radiation, SHF radiation and so on. SUBSTANCE: technical objective of proposed solution is development of family of electromagnetic pulse generators based on inductive storage devices with plasma current interrupters. As distinct from known inductive generator incorporating primary source of energy, power transmission line, inductive energy storage device with internal and external electrodes, at least one plasma current interrupter with plasma-forming system connected in series and load connected in parallel to it through power transmission line proposed inductive generator has plasma current interrupter presenting self-dependent unit placed on outer surface of external electrode of inductive storage device. It has vacuum-treated case that is external electrode of interrupter and internal electrode connected correspondingly to external and internal electrodes of inductive storage device. Description gives several versions of basic solution. EFFECT: expanded capabilities for arrangement of units of generator, provision for operational convenience and fast replacement of units in plasma current interrupters. 3 cl, 6 dwg
