SUBSTANCE: system and a computer method for monitoring and diagnosing anomalies in a wheel-space of a gas turbine, is implemented using a computer device, coupled to a user interface and a memory device, and includes storing a plurality rule sets in the memory device, which relates to the wheel-space and includes at least one rule expressed as an expression of data output, incoming in real time with real-time input data, and the expression of the relationship refers to the temperature of the inter-wheel space. Method also includes receiving real-time and historical data inputs from a control system associated with the gas turbine, data inputs relate to sources providing heat to the wheel-space and estimating a wheel-space temperature value using the inputs relating to a temperature of the wheel-space.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is increased reliability and accuracy for issuing recommendations on operation and troubleshooting.
