SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to iron compositions that can be used in engineering and shipbuilding. Cast iron contains, by mass%: carbon 2.3–2.9; silicon 6.5–7.0; manganese 3.9–4.5; chromium 3.2–3.8; niobium 0.2–0.8; titanium 0.08–0.1; tantalum 3.2–3.8; nickel 3.0–3.4; rest is iron.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to increase the corrosion resistance of cast iron.
