SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, in particular to plant growing and devices for measuring the moisture content of foliage on a growing plant. In the method, stems or branches of the plant are inserted into thin, in comparison with them, two rods of a slightly corroding material. And the free surface of the rods is insulated with a dielectric material and the electrical conductivity is measured between the rods to measure the moisture of the stems or branches. As a low-corrosive material, stainless or ordinary steel, but gold-plated, is used.

EFFECT: method ensures the reliability of moisture measurements.
