SUBSTANCE: agricultural seed planter is made in two versions. In the first version, the seed planter comprises a row unit configured to open a planting trench, two seed meters with individual drives mounted on said section and configured to plant the seeds into said trench and a controller in communication with said drives. First electric drive is operatively connected to the first seed meter and is configured to selectively drive the first seed disc of said first seed meter. Second electric drive is operatively connected to the second seed meter and is configured to selectively drive the second seed disc of the second seed meter. Controller is configured to provide an operation command alternately to said first and second electric drives. Second variant of the seed planter differs from the first in that it has a seed transfer device mounted on said seeding section, wherein said first and second seed meters are arranged to place seeds in said seed transfer device.

EFFECT: invention will allow for a rapid transition between the types of material introduced into the field during seeding with limited mixing between types of seeds.
