FIELD: chemistry; medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of composite materials, namely to materials used in medicine, in particular in ophthalmology, for manufacture of intraocular lenses designed to vision correction after cataract extraction. Composition for manufacture of intraocular lenses contains oligomer uretandi (met) acrylate in amount of 35–69.5 % by weight, having the structure:

amount of initiator and inhibitor effective for polymerization process, methacrylate monomers in amount of 30–60 % by weight, including aryl (met) acrylate and at least one of the following monomers: n-octyl methacrylate, isobornyl methacrylate, 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl methacrylate, trimethylsilyl (met) acrylate.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in hydrophobicity of composition for manufacture of intraocular lenses and an increase in deployment time of intraocular lens from twisted state.
