SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of road safety. System includes a power system that can operate from a public grid or can be an autonomous, battery-powered pedestrian crossing that is limited to four posts, in each of which sensors for detecting the presence of objects, laser visible light generator, and the existing columns contain one laser beam generator acting horizontally perpendicular to the roadway from one column to the other, located on opposite sides of the carriageway, in this case, in conjunction with laser light generators, prismatic or rotary laser devices are built in, and the inclusion of laser visible beam and prism or rotary laser devices comes from transmitting a signal to them from sensors detecting the presence of objects when a pedestrian passes between posts or next to posts. Mode of operation of laser visible-beam generators and prism or rotary laser devices provides for both their joint operation, and separately, and also in a flashing mode.

EFFECT: road users are warned about the presence of pedestrians at or near a pedestrian crossing.
