SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus (100) and a method of shaping a food product. Device includes open container (102) for obtaining a food mixture. Container (102) is divided into a plurality of open chambers of container (104). Each chamber of container (104) has: a sidewall with an opening for producing a food mixture; molding insert (114) comprising a plurality of molding chambers (116). Each molding chamber (116) has a side wall that cooperates with the side wall of one of the chambers of container (104) to form a plurality of inner molding cavities (120) when container (102) and molding pad (114) are closed. Sidewall of each molding chamber (116) forms a cutting edge that, in the process of compression, makes simultaneous and sliding contact with the opposing side wall of each chamber of container (104) for cutting and completely separating the food mixture contained within mold cavity (120) from any excess of the edible mixture remaining outside inner mold cavity (120), so as to create and mold the food product within each inner mold cavity (120).

EFFECT: invention provides the ability to simultaneously mold and create a variety of food products in an orderly and limited working space.
