SUBSTANCE: household appliance, in particular a refrigeration apparatus, comprises an electronic control device configured to control at least one function of a household appliance connected to a control device, an input device comprising at least one input means and configured to direct a corresponding control signal to the control device, on the basis of a manual actuation of at least one input means, and an input blocking unit configured to lock the activation of the function of the home appliance while being in a locked state, despite actuation, at least one input means and, in the unlocked state, allow activation of the function of the home appliance when the at least one input means is actuated. Input blocking unit is configured and/or arranged to go into a locking state in the event that there is no effect on at least one input means for a predetermined period of time.

EFFECT: use of the present invention provides automatic protection of the input device from an unintended change in the settings of the home appliance by the user.
