SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and an apparatus for determining the overlap of a towed two-wire antenna. To determine the overlapping on the cables, the signal is transmitted from the transceiver high-voltage radio equipment connected to the on-board network. Long cable is disconnected from the transceiver-transmitting high-voltage radio-technical device and connected to the control unit, determine the fact of tangency of the cables, determine the zone of operation of the antenna outside the overlapping modes. Device contains cables controlled by winches installed on the aircraft, control unit, light and sound alarm. Control unit contains a current-limiting relay.

EFFECT: provided definition of the range of safe operation of the towed two-wire antenna, limited regimes leading to the overlapping of the cables.
