SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the cleaning of vehicles. Method of removing ice from the running gears of the rolling stock of a train lies in the fact, that microwave radiation is used with an installation, which includes a power unit with a microwave radiation generator and electric connections. Emitter is connected to the power unit of the microwave radiation generator, adhesion zone of an ice crust and a surface are affected by microwave radiation and are heated by directional microwave radiation. Additional installed microwave radiation affects the icing of the running gears of the rolling unit periodically and counter-directed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the time for deicing the running gears of the rolling stock.
