SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the production of heat-insulating products for their use in refrigeration equipment. Vacuum insulating material includes the core material 2, which is formed of a glass fiber block, and the outer covering layer, which covers the core material. Internal space of the outer covering layer has a reduced pressure and is sealed. Core material is configured such that the weight ratio of fibers, which have the fiber length of 1.85 mm or less, is 11 WT % or less of the total core material 2. This allows for the fibers, which have the fiber length of 1.85 mm or more, with a high probability to be oriented perpendicular to the direction of thermal insulation of the core material, while minimizing the effect of fibers, which have the fiber length of 1.85 mm or less, which are oriented in the direction of the thermal insulation of the core material and are a factor in the deterioration of the effectiveness of thermal insulation.

EFFECT: invention has been proposed, which relates to heat-insulating articles for use in refrigeration equipment.
