FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ethylbenzene dehydrogenation plant and process for producing styrene. Plant includes a reaction section including one or more adiabatic reactors arranged in series, a steam circuit including a first steam heat exchanger disposed downstream of the first adiabatic reactor, and a heating device comprising one or more ultra-heaters arranged in the heating circuit and in fluid communication with each other, one or more combustion chambers comprising a steam diffuser, a burner and a mixer, and one or more ventilation devices where the smoke gases generated in the combustion chamber are recirculated through the ventilation device through the heating circuit, wherein the ultra-heater of the heating circuit is located between one adiabatic reactor and the subsequent adiabatic reactor or on the feed line to the first reactor or the steam circuit.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to use flue gases as a coolant with the possibility of their circulation in the heating circuit and provides an increase in the energy efficiency of the production of styrene.
