SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical fiber transmission systems for optical signals and, in particular, to detachable fiber optic connectors, for which a unified optical scheme and a corresponding mathematical model have been developed, which have the fundamental property that this scheme and model allow us to apply the theory of optical waveguides to the study of optical converters with amplitude modulation of radiation intensity. Unified optical scheme of a detachable fiber optic connector is the basis for determining the tolerances for the misalignment of the coupled optical fibers, determination of the design parameters of the devices for coordinating and implementing successive transitions to the optical circuits of optical converters of linear displacements of the interrupting and reflective types, optical pressure transducers, optical signaling devices and liquid indicators, at the same time, a generalized mathematical model for the connection of light guides has been developed that adequately reflects the dependence of the introduced optical losses in the connection of light guides under the influence of all kinds of mismatches for multimode and single-mode fibers and at the same time is the mathematical basis of the transformation function of optical converters with amplitude modulation of radiation intensity.

EFFECT: unified optical scheme of a detachable optical fiber connector is proposed for the development of optical converters.
