SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of power engineering, namely, to the hot-water device and to the method of its operation, and can be used in submersible combustion apparatuses during heating of water. Water-heating device contains the tank with the bottom and the cover, the vertical combustion chamber, which is installed in the tank with the gap between the lower edge of the chamber and the bottom of the tank, gas burners, water supply and discharge pipes, sources of flammable gas and air, which are communicated with the burners. Device is provided with the combustion product cooling device, which is made in the form of the spraying device that is installed in the cover opening and with the additional water cooling device, which is made in the form of the water cavity of gas reducer, the input of which is communicated with the water inlet manifold, and the outlet is connected to the inlet of the spraying device. Method of operation of the hot-water device is in the fact that water circulates in the heating circuit, it is heated by means of passing the combustion products from burning the combustible gas into the combustion chamber of the device and discharging the combustion products into the atmosphere, while cooling them by means of passing through the sprayed water, the liquefied gas being used as the combustible gas, and the water is cooled before its additional spraying by using the cold-gas resource of the liquefied gas.
EFFECT: technical result, which is achieved in the proposed device when carrying out the method, consists in cooling the gas combustion products up to the temperature that is close to the ambient temperature, by using cooling capacity of liquefied gas.
