FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed gas-turbine locomotive has gas-turbine engine whose compressor is provided with air inlet branch pipe, fuel combustion chamber, fuel heater, fuel tank and fuel pipeline. Fuel tank is cryogenic, with thermal insulation to keep liquefied fuel gas. Air inlet branch pipe to supply air to compressor is made in from of air cooler. Air inlet into air space of air cooler communicates with atmosphere, and air outlet communicates with input into passage part of compressor first stage. Gas space of air cooler communicates by input with liquefied gas pipeline to deliver liquefied gas from cryogenic tank for fuel installed on booster section and communicates by output with fuel combustion chambers through heater of liquefied gas heated by heat of exhaust gases of gas-turbine engine or media (water, oil, etc) cooling gas-turbine engine.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of gas fuel owing to negative temperature potential of liquefied gas without additional energy consumption in operation of gas-turbine locomotive.
