Method of the phase failure state detecting of transformer having star-connected winding with grounding on the high voltage side, includes monitoring of the current flowing through the neutral connection wire on the transformer high voltage side, relay protection circuits for voltage or current to identify the phase failure condition sign in the signal, which can characterize the current value change. Supplying the current signal to neutral terminal and performing the transformer zero sequence mode monitoring to detect the phase failure condition characterized by increase in circuit impedance and the supplied current decrease or drop to zero.
EFFECT: enabling protection of the transformer operating under conditions of small and / or zero load relative to the power consumption.
