FIELD: separation; mixing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a nickel-graphene hydrogenation catalyst containing 10–25% by weight of 2–5 nm nickel nanoclusters applied to carbon nanoparticles. And as a carrier, it contains reduced graphite oxide in the form of flakes reduced graphite oxide. Invention also relates to a process for the preparation of a nickel-graphene hydrogenation catalyst comprising dispersing an aqueous solution of a nickel salt, Ni(CH3COO)2, in an aqueous suspension of graphite oxide. Aqueous dispersion of graphite oxide Ni(CH3COO)2 is subjected to freeze-drying followed by simultaneous reduction of graphite oxide and nickel (II) with hydrogen at 300–500°C.
EFFECT: technical result is the high efficiency of the catalyst with the improvement of its functional characteristics (evenly distribution of nanometer nickel particles on the carrier surface).
