NOISE FILLING CONCEPT Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G10L19/28 G10L19/12 G10L19/04

Abstract RU 2660605 C2

FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for noise filling of a spectrum of an audio signal. Spectrum is dequantised as obtained after noise filling using a spectrally varying and signal-adaptive quantisation step size, controlled by the envelope of the linear prediction spectrum signalled by the linear prediction coefficients in the data stream into which the spectrum is encoded, or scaling factors related to ranges of scaling factors signalled in the data stream into which the spectrum is encoded. Continuous spectral zero portion of the spectrum of the audio signal is filled with noise spectrally generated using a function that assumes a maximum in the inner portion of the continuous spectral zero portion and has edges that fall outside, the absolute inclination angle of which is negatively dependent on tonality.

EFFECT: technical result is to improve the quality of the noise-filled audio signal.
