SUBSTANCE: invention relates to neodymium-catalysed polybutadienes (NdBR), comprising >95 wt% of cis-1,4 units and <1 wt% of 1,2-vinyl content, based on the neodymium-catalysed polybutadiene, where the neodymium-catalysed polybutadienes evinces a molar mass breakdown of not less than 25 %. method of the production of neodymium-catalyzed polybutadiene (NdBR) comprises the steps of: a) polymerizing the butadiene monomer in the presence of at least one inert organic solvent and at least one neodymium-based catalyst at temperatures of from 60 to 140 °C; b) stopping the polymerization by admixing the reactive compounds thereby forming a first polymer; c) admixing sulphur chlorides with the first polymer while not allowing the first polymer to be cooled down, thereby forming a Mooney jumped polymer, and d) to the Mooney jumped polymer admixing a masticating agent. Invention also relates to rubber mixtures containing neodymium-catalyzed polybutadiene (NdBR) obtained in this manner in which the neodymium-catalyzed polybutadiene contains more than 90 % by weight cis-1,4 units and less than 1 % by weight of 1,2-vinylbutadiene based on the neodymium-catalyzed polybutadiene, and the neodymium catalyzed polybutadiene exhibits a drop in molar mass in% of at least 25 %, preferably at least 33 %, and more preferably at least 50 %.
