FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in lighting elements. For this purpose, lighting element (1) comprises first substrate (2) having optical transparency; plurality of lighting units (3) formed of a plurality of polygonal prismatic structures having optical transparency, arranged on first surface (2a) of first substrate (2); and gaps (9) provided between the plurality of lighting units (3), wherein lighting unit (3) is a polygon that has five vertices on the form of section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, and which all internal angles are less than 180°, lighting unit includes a first side that is one side of the polygon corresponding to a surface in contact with first surface (2), wherein the plurality of the vertices includes a first vertex and a second vertex, which are the vertices corresponding to both ends of the first side, and a third vertex that is not placed on the first side, wherein the length of a perpendicular line of the first side passing through the third vertex is greater than the length of a perpendicular line of the first side, passing through a vertex different from the third vertex from the plurality of vertices, and the shape of lighting unit (3) is asymmetric with respect to the perpendicular line of the first side, passing through the third vertex, acting as the center.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improving the quality of lighting.
