FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method for monitoring and measuring the wall thickness of an aluminum electrolysis bath that allows permanent and continuous monitoring of the temperature of the cell jacket while performing sampling and analysis of electrolyte to obtain the liquidus temperature of the electrolyte. By analyzing and calculating the test data on site, the electrolysis cell design data and the physical characteristics of the materials, it is then possible to simulate the wall thickness of the electrolysis bath. Simulated results are displayed on the computer terminal to carry-out on-site control of the production and operation process.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy and informativeness of the data obtained while simplifying the instrumental measurement methodology.
